What Clients Achieved

  • Located in the heart of downtown Clarksdale near Ground Zero Blues Club, Crossroads Cultural Arts Center exists to connect the Black community with the wisdom of African ancestors through cultural arts, storytelling and the enduring influence of the Blues. The center had built something meaningful and distinct, but its mission and programming needed to be communicated more clearly to both local audiences and visitors searching for authentic cultural experiences in the Mississippi Delta.

Red Window partnered closely with the center’s leadership through a listening-driven branding process that drew directly from the founder’s vision and understanding of the community. The refreshed brand focused on people, culture and story. The new identity incorporated the West African Sankofa symbol, reflecting the center’s mission of carrying wisdom from the past into the future.

Alongside the rebrand, Red Window developed a new website that made the center’s mission, programming and live events more visible and accessible. The result was a stronger digital presence that helps connect the center with tourists, artists, community members and descendants of the Delta story from across the country and around the world.

  • The University of Mississippi’s marketing and communications team needed additional capacity to support research centers, institutes and special initiatives across campus, including during the redevelopment of the university’s website.

As an approved and trained vendor, Red Window partnered with both the central team and individual units to refine messaging, develop site structures and create content, all within the university’s systems and brand standards.

This approach allowed units to better communicate their distinct strengths while giving the central team a trusted partner who could extend capacity, maintain consistency and bring outside perspective to complex projects.

  • CREATE Foundation partnered with Red Window to support Press Forward Mississippi, a statewide effort focused on strengthening local news and community information. The work required listening across funders, media leaders and civic stakeholders to bring clarity to a complex issue in an area of high need.

Red Window helped the coalition focus its communications around three priority areas, creating a clearer framework for statewide collaboration. As the work continues, we support partners in developing initiatives that fit within that shared vision and communicating them in ways that are clear, credible and easier for funders and supporters to engage with.

  • After decades of building trust in the manufacturing industry, T&L Specialty was preparing for its next chapter of growth. The family-owned company needed a stronger brand presence and ongoing marketing support that reflected both the quality of its products and the forward-looking vision of its leadership.

Red Window partners with T&L Specialty as an extension of its team, providing the capabilities of a full marketing department without requiring the company to staff that function in-house. From branding, messaging and website support to video storytelling that demonstrates product effectiveness for customers in the auto industry, the partnership helps T&L communicate authentically and respond strategically to new opportunities.

FAQs

  • Both have their place, and we're happy to help you determine what's right for your situation.

Freelancers can be the right fit when you need support in a specific area or project, such as writing copy, designing a logo, or updating a website. They are often less expensive than an agency and can help fill a defined gap on your team.

An integrated agency brings a broader set of capabilities and a coordinated approach. Instead of managing separate individuals, you have a team that aligns strategy, messaging, content, and execution, so your efforts are connected and consistent over time without the extra effort of managing multiple people. The right choice depends on your needs.

  • Not always. Many organizations have marketing leadership representation, but it might not be full-time, depending on the organization’s stage of growth.

At the very least, you do need someone inside your organization who is able to allot at least a few hours a month to coordinating with an outsourced marketing strategist or team.

In our experience, this role can look like:

    • A startup founder who is able to work closely with our team as part of building a company.

    • A healthcare practice manager who is able to coordinate among our team, the providers, and/or corporate priorities.

    • A CMO with a sales background who collaborates on strategy and execution with our team.

    • A full marketing team that leans on us for a outside perspective and special projects and initiatives.

Contact us if we can help you weigh the right balance for staffing your marketing support at this stage.

  • Organizations seeking grant funding need to communicate their mission clearly and demonstrate their impact. Funders look for alignment between data, strategy, execution and results, and professional communications support can help bring those elements together.

At Red Window, our work with nonprofits, public organizations and institutions gives us a strong understanding of funder expectations and priorities. We help ensure your communications and reporting demonstrate progress, outcomes and impact throughout a project.

Strategies for seeking grant funding for communications may include:

    • Direct requests for branding, marketing and impact storytelling to build capacity and support growth.

    • A communications budget line item within a project-based grant request, helping you show the project’s impact.

    • Funding for awareness campaigns that are central to your mission.

Contact us if you would like to discuss a communications scope and budget to include in your grant proposal.

  • The right investment depends on your organization’s goals, growth stage, and the level of support needed to stay consistent. For many organizations, the challenge is not just how much to spend, but how to align strategy, content, and execution — in a way that leads to meaningful results.

Red Window partners with entrepreneurs, business owners, nonprofitscommunity organizations, and more to define a clear scope and provide the experienced resources to execute it. We help ensure your investment aligns with your priorities and leads to measurable progress over time.

  • Improving your local visibility starts with clearly communicating what you do, who you serve, and where you operate. Your website, content, visuals, and digital presence all work together to help people find you and understand how your organization can help them.

In addition to the function and performance of your website itself, content that’s separate from your website also shapes how you are found. This can include news stories, social media posts, YouTube videos, event listings — all of the context that can be found online about your organization.

Red Window is different from specialized SEO agencies, in that we apply SEO strategy across all our projects and platforms, to strengthen your searchability and digital performance.
